Andrew Robertson – 7 – Still a relatively quiet game, not as prominent as the other side of the pitch. Had some gaps in the first half, but made up for it well in the second half, didn’t cause any problems.

Jarrell Quansah – 7 – Made a superb sliding tackle to block Omari Hutchinson’s shot after Van Dijk had mishandled it, but showed some trepidation before being quickly taken off.

Alexis Mac Allister – 7 – A quality central midfielder, he is a link-up playmaker who can provide attacking and defensive advantage, and also provides a dangerous second-row support.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7 – The deepest midfielder in the team and although he struggled in the first half with the home team’s attacking play, he was no different in the second half.

Dominik Soboszlai – 8 – A powerhouse in midfield, he is a central attacker who is difficult for the opposition to cover. The only downside is that he doesn’t have many finishing opportunities in this game.

Luis Diaz – 6 – Tried his best but wasn’t quite on target for this game. The Colombian winger wasted a few chances, either off target or blocked.

Diogo Jota – 8 – Missed a golden opportunity with a header from Alexander-Arnold’s cross but made no mistake after that, scoring Liverpool’s first goal of the new season and new era under new manager.

Mohamed Salah – 9 – Was excellent from the very beginning, scoring one goal and providing one assist for the game, showing that the opposition’s defence was completely helpless in the second half.
